Here’s the thing — Valrico is small, but it punches above its weight on food. You just have to know where to look.

Why lunch is harder than it should be

Most Valrico spots are designed for dinner. They open at 4, the kitchen takes 25 minutes, and by the time your sandwich shows up, your lunch break is half gone. If you work in Bloomingdale, FishHawk, or Brandon and have an hour to grab food, you don’t have time for ambiance.

You need three things:

1. Open early. Like 11:30 early.
2. Fast. Order, eat, get back to work.

We’re a craft brewery first. But years ago we noticed the same thing — Valrico needed a real lunch spot. So we put in a real kitchen.

Doors and food at 11:30 AM every single day. No “lunch starts at 12.” No closed Mondays.

The burger that keeps people coming back is the Bullfrog’s Bay Custom Smash — half-pound double smash with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and our house Bullfrog sauce. Fries included. Out fast.

Wings get cooked in a Big Green Egg smoker — Florida heat, Florida smoke. Pick your sauce or dry rub.

Paninis and chicken tenders go quick for the takeout crowd. Loaded fries are the move when you’re hungry but it’s only Tuesday.

What “fast” actually means

We’re a brewery. We’re not a fast food joint. But we run a tight kitchen at lunch because we know you’ve got 50 minutes.

Order at the bar or call ahead at (813) 703-8835. If you’re tight on time, order online through Toast and walk in to pick it up.

We also do happy hour from 2 to 5 PM Monday through Friday, which is the under-the-radar lunch hour for anyone working from home. Pint and a burger, back at your desk by 3.

The kid factor

Valrico families need lunch spots that don’t side-eye a stroller. We’re family friendly all day — kids menu, high chairs, room for a stroller. Patio if the weather’s good.

That said, we are a brewery. So when you’re out with the kids, you can have a beer with your burger and not feel like a degenerate. Win-win.
